Our Customer was looking for a system for their industrial shed. On reviewing their electricity bills their average daily usage was 140 kilowatt hours and their peak power consumption was also throughout the day.

Taking these factors into consideration NRG selected 2 x 15kW inverters coupled with 31.2kW’s of panels. For the solar array NRG used the latest Honey Plus 300W Trina panel. These panels are backed by a 25yr linear power warranty and have an excellent temperature coefficient well suited to the Central Queensland climate.

The solar panels were mounted in four on the north facing roof. Mounting the panels in this location allowed for optimum power generation specific to their needs. All NRG Solar systems are mounted on Clenergy PV-ezRack mounting rails. These rails are certified to the Wind Region C Classification as mandated for the Coastal CQ area.

The inverters are the latest SMA Sunny Tripower 15000 TL -30, German made and widely considered to be the market leader. Our technicians also setup Home Manager 2.0 connecting the customers PC, laptop or smart phone to the inverter via wifi or Ethernet. This means they can monitor the inverters performance. It is also produces the data required to determine the most suitable battery storage system, should they wish to install one in the future.

The system qualified for 560 Small Scale Technology Certificates (STC’s).

Our customer’s electricity bill was reduced by two thirds and the system is trending to be paid off in 2 years.
