NRG were engaged by BMA Blackwater mine to complete the Installation of their new combustion detection system in the reclaim tunnel of the thermal coal plant.
This project included a VESDA smoke detection system, Hazardous area rated manual call points and sounder beacons and linear heat detection cabling.

NRG Delivered:

• Installation of hazardous area equipment
• Construction and Installation of VESDA and fire panel enclosure and supporting brackets
• Mounting system in tunnel for VESDA piping
• Power cabling (LV and ELV) Fibre, control and signal cabling
• VESDA and fire panel commissioning
• Linear heat detection cabling installation
• Coordination between production teams and project delivery to minimize downtime of plant
