Fire Suppression System

Electrical installation of fire suppression system at BMA Peak Downs CHPP. This project was initially behind schedule and suffered from poor quality workmanship. The principal contractor engaged NRG to replace the electrical subcontractor. NRG’s involvement saw the project turnaround. This was a direct result of the skill set of our workforce and their high level of commitment to the project. The project was handed over on time.


Intersection Lighting Rockhampton
Client: Department of Transport and Main Roads

NRG were engaged as a sub-contractor to install & commission street lighting & traffic signals at the upgraded intersection of Boundary Road and Yaamba Road in Parkhurst, as part of a wider shopping centre development works. This project was completed in accordance with strict TMR specifications.


NBN Rollout

Provision of electrical services for the deployment of NBN infrastructure in Rockhampton region. Included copper and fibre optic cabling, network installation of pillars, fibre to the node and cabinets.  Civil works included trenching, vac truck excavations, directional boring, asphalting, concreting and landscaping.


Sewerage Treatment Plant Automation

Services included installation of PLC control system to optimize operation of the STP and enable quick response to change in conditions such as loading due to seasonal variations. PLC features included remote access for reading and adjusting set points in the STP for maintenance personnel and consultants on the mainland.


Apartment Complex Electrical Rewire Mooloolaba

A basement car park fire destroyed the integrity of the core electrical infrastructure of the building. NRG were engaged to decommission damaged components and install new wiring and switchboards whilst maintaining continuity of supply during restoration.

 HV Breakdown Repairs

NRG completed HV emergency repair works resulting from a fault on the 11kv distribution circuit, causing loss of all power to the resort and thousands of other customers connect to the grid. NRG provided all resources including workforce, HV equipment, insulated bucket truck, and project management to bring main systems back online.  We also supplied and maintained generators to keep services running.


HV Electrical Maintenance

NRG have been engaged to manage the high voltage distribution network at Aurizon’s rail maintenance facility in Rockhampton. Services include planned high voltage maintenance supported by a 24 hour, 7 day high voltage electrical breakdown service, providing the client with reliable high voltage services with minimal downtime

Test and Tag services and RCD testing

Client: Queensland Health

NRG was awarded the contract to provide inspection and testing services, including portable appliances, RCD testing and minor repairs identified as a result of this service. Work is completed in accordance with the requirements of AS 3760:2010 by qualified technicians using latest technology instruments suited to high volume applications increasing efficiency and reducing costs to the client. The service is provided onsite with no disruption to the operation of their facilities. The client is provided with an electrical asset register and test report. NRG has prepared a service schedule in accordance with the testing requirements of the equipment and is completed at a time suitable with the client. This is particularly important due to the nature of their business.

Generator Supply

NRG supplied and installed generators to schools in the Rockhampton area post cyclone Marcia. The temporary power services enabled schools to return to normal operation while the electricity distribution network was repaired.
